Smooth and sultry Malbec gets a little help from Syrah to create wine that has a bit of body and cracked black pepper notes. It's oh-so-chocolatey smooth, complete with flavors of toasty oak, dark berries, light vanilla and ultra-fine tannins giving way to a long, flavorful finish.
Domaine de la Pinardière is a 40-hectare, family-owned property located in Vallet, the heart of the appellation. The estate is led by Christophe Olivier and its history dates back to his great-grandfather. Grapes are grown according to the French chart of sustainable agriculture in the Sevre-et-Maine region — one of the four Muscadet appellations known for the highest quality.
Climate: Cool-Wet-Maritime Soil Type: Gravel/Sand/Schist/Stone Vinified in small vats. Low temperature fermentation to protect the freshness. 7.5 months on lies in underground cellars.
