Green apple, pineapple and honeycomb notes abound in this nicely put together Sancerre. Soft lemony aromas on the nose lead up to hints of toasty almond and grapefruit come mid-palate. Racy acidity makes this a good choice for steamed mussels or spaghetti vongole.
Guido Zampaglione hails from Italy’s southern Campania region and moved to Piedmont in 2002 after a years-long search for the right vineyard to begin making wines. He purchased Tenuta Grillo and oversaw it as a winery with a larger scale production of wines. However, he soon realized he wanted to carry out his own grape-growing and so he began a journey that led to smaller scale production of wines that have character and uncompromised quality.
