A unique off-dry blend of well-known Chardonnay and lesser known Neuburger, this wine is both smooth and elegant. Full and rich, the palate offers waxy green apple flavors with hints of honey and savory minerality (for flair). Lovers of white Burgundy and Jura wines will, well, fall in love.
Martin and Anna Arndorfer are open-minded, curious, and committed to nature — qualities that have made them some of the most forward-thinking winemakers in the Kamptal region of northern Austria. Coming from backgrounds in wine, Martin and Anna took their creativity and vision and embarked on a journey where they broke away from the local winemaking tradition and made a name for themselves in the world of natural wine. They source their grapes from estate vineyards and take pride in forging their own path.
50% Chardonnay, 50% Neuburger, from two different vineyard sources on chalk and loess respectively. Both vineyards are picked on the same day and pressed together; the Neuburger macerated for eight hours on skins before pressing; the Chardonnay was added whole-cluster to the Neuburger mash, then pressed immediately.
Aged for 10 months on the lees in neutral French oak barrels, no batonnage or racking.
20mg SO2 added at bottling.
